NEW FORMAT FOR 2020 Looking for a race to make you come alive after a long work week? Put your training miles to the test and join with friends to run our Echo Valley Endurance Relay! We’ve decided to spice things up in 2020 and turn Echo Valley into a relay. Teams of two, four or six can tackle the challenge of Echo Valley; Or, if you’re feeling ambitious, you can be a team of one. The format is time-constrained, meaning that teams have a certain amount of time to get as many miles in as possible. The relay will run from sunrise to sunset, approximately 5:08am to 9:14pm.
Based in the pristine wine country of Lake Chelan, Echo Valley offers stunning views, runnable (is that even a word?) single tracks, heaps of sunshine and a retreat from everyday life! The flexibility of the relay format makes this event ideal for any level of trail runner.
To top off this weekend away in the mountains, you can camp pre- and post-race. Take this time to reboot, decompress from technology and reflect on the amazing training you have done. Bonfires, smores, and laughter will be plentiful! Come and share an amazing weekend with us; we promise you will head back to work Monday full of heart and strength of mind! See below for details on accommodations.
This race is sponsored by Vin du Lac of Chelan, one of the top Wineries in the region, named “Winery of the Year” in 2010.
A special thanks to Company Creek Pizza for supporting the Echo Valley races. They’ll be providing pizza to keep you going all day long!
As part of our new Woodland Speeders program, we offer free kid's races at all of our events. Parents are welcome to run with their kids. You can register your child during the registration process for your own race or sign them up later. Distances vary and are approximate, but we aim for about 1K in distance. See schedule below for start time.
The course consists of three distinct loops: yellow, red and purple. All loops will be well marked, and each loop will have one unmanned water station. The race HQ area will have a well-stocked aid station for runners.
The trails will be open to other users during the event, including pedestrians and cyclists.See our FAQ page for more information about sharing the trails
This is a cupless race.
All runners should carry with them a refillable container that they can run with. There will be a limited number of cups for emergency situations. Runners are strongly encouraged to carry a minimum of 20oz of water. Echo Valley can be hot this time of year. The race HQ area will have a well-stocked aid station for runners.
Online registration will close the Thursday before the race at noon.

Camping at Echo Valley is a great way to extend out your weekend fun and catch up with old friends and make new ones! There is a generously sized camping area available for anyone, whether you're a relay participant or not.
The camping area is owned and managed by the Echo Valley Ski Area. The cost to camp is $15 per tent or RV, per night, and is collected directly when you arrive (can pay with cash, check or credit card). No individual fires are allowed but there are several fire pits for general use. Containers are provided for garbage and recycling. There is a lodge building also at the ski area that offers prepared meals! They're delicious, see here for a sample menu. They will have Friday dinner, Saturday breakfast and dinner, and Sunday breakfast available.
There are four team sizes and three time limits to choose from for our first year.
Team Sizes: Solo, two people, four people and six people
Time Limits: 4 hour, 8 hour and sunrise to sunset (just under 16 hours)
Any team size can pick any time option. So that means that there are 11 time/team size combinations to choose from! (The one exception is that six person teams can only do the sunrise to sunset option, hence 11, not 12 combinations)
